Research and Planning : Designing an E-Sting.

Questions

What format do you propose to create an E-Sting?

For our Esting we are going to be using lego to create a tetris.

What will happen in your proposed E-Sting?

In our Esting we are going to have the narrative of an old school game of tetris as it gives the aspect of nostalgia towards the older audience.

In regards to diegesis, where will your animation be set?

The animation will be set in a life size game of tetris, so will be inside a video game.

Are there any limitations or difficulties ti face when you produce your E-Sting?

I think the main limitation in the production of our Esting will be creating continuity as it may take more than one session to create. As it is lego it will mean every time we take the images, it will need to look exactly the same and have the same lighting. We also need to make sure we have sufficient lego to use, especially purple and white as that is what the logo is made of. This will cost money if we don’t have the resources we need, as they will have to be ordered in.

Who is the trager audience for your E-Sting?

The target audience for our Esting is going to be older teenagers/young adults who can relate to old style games such as tetris, snake and space invaders. Our aim is to give them a sense of nostalgia, and something they can relate to. It is aimed at all genders, even though most E4 programmes are aimed at females.
