Review of a 'DepicT! Short Film': Part 1
This short film was one of the first ones i watched. I was first drawn in to watching this
one because i was intrigued by the title of it. I saw that it suggested it was comedy so i
decided to watch it and see what it was like. It was actually very well filmed and it was
very cleverly made. At first a guy seems interested in an old silver bike, however the
person that is selling the bike is making out that the bike is specifically very special.
The guy seems very interest and excited, but that soon changes when this random person
comes along with a unicorn and tells him how good this unicorn is. The guy that is meant
to be buying the bike seems so shocked about how 'cool' this unicorn is and then looses all
interest in the bike and refuses the offer. What makes this short film funny is that they use
very slang language with a strong east London accent, and it also coveys comedy in the
character that wants to buy the bike because he seems so shocked at all the lies they are
telling him just to make him buy it. The camera angles are also quite clever in this because
it displays the bike and the unicorn to make it clear to the viewer that they are the main objects in the video.
