Animation Evaluation

To get feedback for my animation project, i made a written survey on a popular website called 'SurveyMonkey'. I distributed the survey to many different people including my friends, class, and family all of which where different genders and ages. Using an online survey creator meant that i was able to retrieve reliable data which would allow to me gain varied feedback about my E-sting. Survey monkey allowed me to distribute it via email and social media messaging apps, this meant that I could reach lots of people in my target demographic and psychographic range (target audience).

Based on the feedback we received i felt like i produced a good E-Sting, most people answered the survey in the correct way and agreed on that it does meet the criteria, we did have a few things that people said we need to change, and i did agree on that. The majority of the people that answered our survey did answer the age that we aimed for, as shown in the graph below. Some did say we could of got the angle and composition of the camera so it was facing directly at the e4 and looked more aligned.

The responses show that the ESting would appeal to the intended target audience in regards to age (demographics).

All of the people who responded said that they liked the ESting and enjoyed watching it.

Personally i think the E-sting i produced meets the criteria and is perfect for our target audience. It is 10 seconds long and includes the E4 logo so fits the brief and it looks like it could be aired on E4 in between their programmes.

 Tetris feedback from peers.

To improve we will
- fix the shot glitches (e4 randomly appearing)
- add e4 music
- add a background to get rid of the green screen
- maintain continuity in the camera shots and not move the camera between images.

Research Portfolio

Primary Research:
This is my example of Primary research from my advert project, it includes answered survey results for the people that watched our re-branded advert.

Another example of primary evidence is Pre production paper work that includes location recces, location release, talent releases and budget sheets.

This here is an example of feedback that i gained as primary evidence from my E-Sting project

Secondary Research
This is a good example of secondary research as the information has been found online.

Another source of secondary research was this example advert i chose to analyse.

This advert is made to promote the department store 'John Lewis' - the whole point in the advert is to get people into the store at its most peak time, christmas. The audience that it is directed towards is for everyone really, for all ages. It is made up of real life and an animated penguin to make it appeal to children as well.
